The era of poverty has ended for Ze-deputies
Deputies of the Verkhovna Rada voted in the first reading to decriminalize the opening of fictitious companies, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Presenting the bill, deputy from the pro-presidential Servant of the People faction Daniil Getmantsev said that Article 205 (fictitious entrepreneurship) for many years had been the basis for pressure on entrepreneurs from the tax police and emphasized the need and correctness of its decriminalization.
Also, according to the parliamentarian, the bill provides for a tripling of the lower bar for prosecution for tax evasion.
“This, of course, is not a panacea for supporting business, but at least a start,” the head of the committee on law enforcement, people’s deputy of the Servant of the People Denis Monastyrsky supported the initiative.
Without significant objections, 365 deputies voted for the bill, one people's deputy abstained, and another voted against.
Ukrainian journalist Vladimir Boyko ironically noted in his telegram channel that the authors of the law “warmed up” quite well on this initiative.
“Finally, the age-old dream of the freedom-loving Ukrainian people has come true: the Verkhovna Rada in the first reading supported bill 1080, which provides for the decriminalization of fictitious entrepreneurship and the removal of Article 205 from the Criminal Code of Ukraine, which establishes liability for the opening of fictitious companies and conversion centers.
I can only imagine how much money the authors of this bill received from interested parties. For some, the era of poverty has definitely ended,” Boyko says ironically.
