Today’s exit from the ruling coalition in the Verkhovna Rada by the Popular Front faction does not matter, since the coalition did not exist anyway.

This is stated in a statement by the team of the new President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky, published on social networks.

“Today one of the factions in the Verkhovna Rada decided to leave the “coalition.” But how can you get out of something that doesn’t exist? In fact, the coalition has not existed for three years, since a number of deputies left it. Therefore, the current game in parliament is further evidence that deputies are indifferent to the people who elected them. Prolonging their serene existence is more important for them. However, we would like to remind you that the country needs changes and deep reforms. This is the request of the Ukrainian people. And to implement it, we need a capable parliament,” the statement says.

Verkhovna Rada deputy Igor Lutsenko shares a similar opinion.

“The NF’s “exit” does not provide any indulgence from the dissolution of parliament. Because there has been no coalition for almost three years. That is, 30 days have already expired more than 10 times. The coalition must be formed by factions, the total number of deputies in which must have more than 225. And there are approximately 215 of them in the NF and BPP. Therefore, the new president can dissolve parliament even on Monday. Stop clinging to mandates,” Lutsenko wrote on his blog.

Let us remind you that today the “People's Front” announced his withdrawal from the coalition in Verkhovna Rada, thereby trying to insure against the early dissolution of parliament by the new president.

As PolitNavigator reported, ex-deputy head of the presidential administration of Ukraine, lawyer Andrei Portnov also believes that the PF’s exit from the coalition will not create problems for Zelensky in dissolving parliament.

Let us note that Zelensky’s official inauguration as president is scheduled for May 20. It is believed that the dissolution decree must be issued before May 27, since six months before the end of the parliament's term of office it cannot be dissolved early.
