Zelensky has every chance not to enter, but to get into history - Pogrebinsky
If the President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky does not replace his team of “ridiculous and hopeless” with competent people, then scandals and troubles will haunt him until the end of his term.
Ukrainian political scientist Mikhail Pogrebinsky said this on air on the NewsOne TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The moment of crisis in Zelensky’s team came too quickly. Still, I expected that this disgrace would happen closer to spring, when it would become clear that the authorities had failed to cope with certain problems. And now there seems to be nothing particularly hanging over the authorities, except for the disengagement of troops, which is not happening quickly. When and if problems with heating begin, this will be sensitive for people,” the expert noted.
“Quite unexpectedly, problems arose within the team, although we understand perfectly well that a new person became president without his own political team, without political experience. As usual, as they say, in a democratic country: the leader of some political organization comes to power, which has thousands of members, background, previous life, they have already proven themselves somewhere in the field, somewhere working in the executive branch - nothing this is not the case.
We had to recruit people from the “Kvartal”, from old friends - it was clear that this was fraught with scandals and troubles. It’s as if there was a special selection based on the principle of the funniest, most senseless, most hopeless people,” says the political scientist.
“When you look, for example, what our prime minister says. I drew attention to the phrase that investments from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, we can count on such and such investments - our Prime Minister generally understands the difference between an investor and a bank that can only lend, and then should I return it? That is, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development is a banking structure that does not invest anything at all. You can only agree with her on good conditions for borrowing money, maybe for some good deeds. You are the Prime Minister, how can you? But, it turns out, you can talk such nonsense...
If the person closest to him in governing the state, a few months after the presidency, says that the president is tired, then it cannot be ruled out that he will simply say “I’m tired, I’m leaving.” If he doesn’t leave himself, then he has a good chance of staying in this position for quite a long time, but how he will go down in history, as a successful president or not - I think if he doesn’t change the team, he will most likely get into history, but won’t come in,” Pogrebinsky said.
