Zelensky was actually torn up the Minsk agreements
Expanding the Minsk agreements by involving Great Britain and the United States in them will supposedly help quickly end the war in Donbass.
Svyatoslav Yurash, a representative of the headquarters of the new President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky, stated this on the NewsOne TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“We have said many times that Minsk in its current form, with its current players, leads to the fact that we are losing people every day without changes in the front. Because of this, it is necessary to attract new players, namely Britain and the USA.
Since they guaranteed us, after the delivery of the third largest nuclear potential in the world, we still had a special relationship with them until that moment. They have very little reason to refuse. There are more problems with the Russian Federation, with its position in this context. But Minsk in its current form needs to be changed. Unfortunately, if we were given this format, we need to work in it, but it needs to be changed in order for it to finally work,” Yurash said.
In turn, Verkhovna Rada deputy Nestor Shufrich noted that Zelensky’s team is not committed to a peaceful resolution of the conflict.
“By abandoning the amnesty law and refusing to discuss a special status, you actually tore up the Minsk agreements. I hope this position will change, but today it looks very unrealistic that you will be able to implement a set of actions related to the implementation of the Minsk agreements, which means that in fact you are following Poroshenko’s path, which means there will be no peace,” Shufrich said.
