Zelensky wants even more Ukrainization
The “language law” that has come into force, violating the rights of Russian-speaking citizens of Ukraine, needs to be strengthened with additional legislative innovations.
Nikita Poturaev, a candidate for deputy and adviser to the President of Ukraine on political issues, stated this on Channel 24, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“I emphasize that we strongly support the comprehensive development of the Ukrainian language, but we believe that we, including in this law, have too few mechanisms for its real, effective support, support for Ukrainian books, education, Ukrainian cinema, TV series, songs. Perhaps this should be spelled out in another law.
Regarding quotas, my colleagues and I have a very simple position - national media should broadcast in Ukrainian, and there is nothing to discuss here,” said the adviser to Vladimir Zelensky.
As PolitNavigator reported, ex-head of Vladimir Zelensky’s election headquarters, head of the Servant of the People party, political strategist Dmitry Razumkov made it clear that the assimilation of the Russian-speaking population will be carried out using more sophisticated methods than under the previous regime.
