Zelensky wants to sell the presidential administration or turn it into a museum
The head of the Presidential Administration of Ukraine, Andriy Bogdan, announced the reform of this body, which may include renaming and moving to another premises, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
He said this in an interview with the Ukraine TV channel.
“Both we and Ukrainians associate the presidential administration with a dominant force that determines all categories of life and influences everything. We are moving away from the name Presidential Administration, we will create a European body that helps the president see the directions of Ukraine’s development, where scientists and intellectuals will concentrate who form the president’s policy in the development of the state, and do not influence today’s problems, not understanding where the country is moving. There will be reform, it is aimed at the European office, which ensures the activities of the president and gives direction to the development of the state,” Bogdan said.
As part of this reform, it is planned to move from Bankova to another premises.
The current AP building will either be sold or transferred to a museum.
“We are considering as an option the transformation of this building into the Museum of Statehood of Ukraine,” Bogdan said.
The Administration of the President of Ukraine was created in 1991 by President Leonid Kravchuk. The third president, Viktor Yushchenko, renamed the AP into the Presidential Secretariat. Viktor Yanukovych immediately after the inauguration returned the name to the presidential administration.
