Zelensky wants to introduce criminal prosecution for trips to Moscow
In Ukraine, it is necessary to introduce criminal prosecution for public figures visiting Moscow and recognizing the Russian status of Crimea.
The head of the Ukrainian delegation to PACE, Verkhovna Rada deputy, member of the pro-presidential faction “Servant of the People” Elizaveta Yasko stated this on the air of the talk show “Freedom of Speech by Savik Shuster,” a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to Yasko, the corresponding bill is now being prepared for consideration in the Rada.
“I would like to say a few words about the initiative that I am currently developing in parliament. This is about the law about non-recognition of the occupation.
We have a situation where very often Russian narratives split our society. We have a “fifth column”, we have many who go to Moscow and publicly support the occupation of Crimea.
It seems to me that in Ukraine there should be criminal liability for such public figures who, by the way, are even in our parliament. I think this is very important,” said Yasko.
