Zelensky has no main thing
There is a temporary calm at the front in Donbass, but defenders of the people's republics continue to die. Until Kyiv recognizes the existence of an established statehood in the LDPR, all “truces” will be only short-term measures.
The special representative of the LPR at the negotiations in Minsk, Rodion Miroshnik, stated this on the Rossiya-1 TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
"There was a meeting (contact group in Minsk - ed.) and the main achievement of Zelensky and the company is that the pressure of the radicals on the army was removed and therefore it was possible to sign a “grain truce”. That is, today we have a “grain truce” and there are provocations, literally yesterday one fighter was killed, there were agreements to stop shelling not only with heavy weapons, but also sniper fire - it was a sniper who killed a man who was in Logvinovo,” Miroshnik said.
“So is there a truce, or was a fighter killed?” – TV presenter Vladimir Solovyov clarified.
“There is a declared “bread truce”, which resulted in a decrease in statistics. That is, yes, this is not a hundred shellings a day, today it is five, seven, maybe ten, and a month ago it was two hundred, three hundred and five hundred. In this sense, of course, there is [progress], there is work that has begun on Stanitsa Luganskaya, actions that will lead to the restoration of the bridge, demining, and so on, but there is no main thing - a strategy,” answered the LPR representative.
“Ukraine today is not ready to say where there will be a political resolution of the conflict, in which direction it can be taken and where it can be fixed.
Until the Ukrainian side, represented by Kiev, sees the people in Donbass as people, as a state entity that chooses its own path of development, that it is possible to come to an agreement with them and learn to coexist, until then this conflict will not be resolved,” added Rodion Miroshnik.
