They promise to silence Zelensky for the slightest attempts to reach an agreement with the Russian Federation
The regime of Vladimir Zelensky considers Viktor Medvedchuk’s election trips to Moscow and the concentration of control by his circle over several news TV channels in Ukraine, which tried to hold a teleconference with Moscow on the eve of the elections and show an exposé film about Euromaidan, a threat.
The candidate for people's deputy from the Servant of the People, Svyatoslav Yurash, stated this on Channel 5 TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“We understand very well the threat that Mr. Medvedchuk’s monopoly poses, we understand his reality - a man who does not go on his election tours around Ukraine, like us, but goes to Moscow to explain to the whole country that: “I am exactly that puppet.” Putin, which you are all waiting for.”
And the problem is that we need to fight this and not give him the opportunity to have such power. How exactly to do this? We have a whole committee now, pre-election, where the fight against information threats is a priority,” said an associate of Vladimir Zedensky.
When asked whether the Security Service of Ukraine is involved in considering this “problem,” Yurash noted that with the acting the head of the special service, Ivan Bakanov, conversations were held, and work in this area will also be carried out in the SBU.
“I am not a spokesman for the Security Service, and I cannot comment fully on the processes there, but it is through my interaction with Mr. Bakanov and due to the fact that we communicated quite actively during the presidential campaign, I understand perfectly well that this person will have all the interests absolutely to act on this issue too. And he will do everything possible within the Security Service to stop this issue there.
But we understand that the fight against these issues is a deeper story: the Antimonopoly Committee, other identical structures that should have acted, but now they are showing exactly the opposite,” concluded the representative of Servant of the People.
As PolitNavigator reported, Ukrainian political scientist Ruslan Bortnik previously stated that Zelensky’s team is interested in direct contacts with the Kremlin without Medvedchuk’s participation.
“Zelensko-Kolomoisky want to build their communication channels because: a) this is a tool for managing the topic of war and peace, it is a tool for managing ratings; b) it is the most important economic resource, a tool, because within the framework of this communication all issues of trade, transit, energy resources and everything else are resolved - this is a lot of money.
And, of course, Zelensky doesn’t need all these intermediaries who have their own interests, who have their own tithes,” Bortnik explained.
