In the Kyiv region, an investigator and the head of one of the sectors of the Kagarlitsky police department of the Obukhov department were detained on the basis of rape and beating.

“According to preliminary information, on the night of May 23-24, 2020, an detective in his office tortured a woman who was called to the police station as a witness - he put on a gas mask, used handcuffs and fired shots from his service weapon over her head. After that, he raped the victim several times.
In addition, law enforcement officers used physical force against a man who was at the police station at the time. Threatening the victim with violence, law enforcement officers forced him to his knees, hit him on the head with batons, put on a gas mask and shot him with a service pistol over his head. As a result of these actions, the victim received fractures of the ribs and nose,” the report says.
The department emphasized that at the moment, SBI investigators are preparing a report of suspicion to the detainees and are deciding whether to choose a preventive measure against them in the form of detention without the possibility of posting bail.
Kiev lawyer Valentin Rybin commented on the incident on his Facebook page. “Fate gives Ze a chance to dismiss Avakov!” – he wrote.
