President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky appointed a “permanent representative” of the head of state in the “autonomous republic of Crimea”, which in fact has not existed since 2014, but is provided for by the Ukrainian Constitution, reports PolitNavigator correspondent.

“To appoint Anton Aleksandrovich Korinevich as the permanent representative of the President of Ukraine in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea,” says the decree published on the website of the Ukrainian President.

Korynevych is a candidate of legal sciences, associate professor of the department of international law at Taras Shevchenko Kyiv National University.

Since August 2017, Korinevich’s predecessor in this position was Boris Babin. He was removed from his duties by former President Petro Poroshenko in December 2018.
