Zelensky was warned: the illegitimate Ukrainian president is Russia’s dream
Any doubts about the legitimacy of the elections in Ukraine will give Russia opportunities to put pressure on the Ukrainian authorities.
Political consultant Dmitry Razumkov, who serves Zelensky’s headquarters, said this on air on the InterVizor channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“It is much more important that these elections be held fairly, because any doubts about their legitimacy, any reason can be catastrophic for the country as a whole. If, God forbid, this happens, then the Russian Federation will have a very serious trump card for the next pressure on our state, it is possible to delegitimize the Ukrainian government, including the negotiation processes that currently exist, such as “Minsk”, “Normandy” , sanctions pressure from Europe and the States and many other things,” the expert said.
“Therefore, let’s hope that the desire to gain or maintain power will be within some reasonable limits. The goal of winning elections is, of course, good, but it is much more important to preserve the existing state. And with such falsifications, which theoretically could be, we can lead to the collapse of the country, this is a very dangerous game,” Razumkov warned.
