Zelensky has developed a strategy to combat Medvedchuk’s channels
President Vladimir Zelensky’s team has a plan for victory on the information front and, in particular, has developed decisions regarding television channels that are associated with the chairman of the political council of the Opposition Platform - For Life party, Viktor Medvedchuk, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
This was stated by the presidential adviser and candidate for people's deputies from the Servant of the People party Nikita Poturaev on the air of Ukrainian Radio, reports Detector Media.
“If it were not for the will of the president, then tactical and strategic steps would not have been developed (regarding TV channels that are associated with Medvedchuk - ed.). But there is political will, it is powerful, and I hope that the first results will finally convince every listener that these are not just declarations, but we have a plan for victory on the information front,” Poturaev said.
When asked about the actions of the authorities in connection with the concentration of information television channels in the hands of Medvedchuk’s entourage, Poturaev said: “We have already developed decisions at the tactical level that can be taken in the near future, and we are also finalizing decisions at the strategic level, because it is necessary not to selectively fight, but to make preventive measures—to use military vocabulary, “fortifications”—to forever protect our information space from enemy incursions.”
In particular, in his opinion, it is necessary to investigate where the money for the purchase of channels comes from, “whether there are any traces of the aggressor state there.”
“The channels are unprofitable, at least - each channel receives half a million dollars in subsidies every month, that is, at least one and a half million dollars go to three channels every month,” noted Zelensky’s adviser.
In addition, Poturaev is convinced that if the new government fails to overcome these problems, then they “will not be the government, and maybe there will be no Ukraine at all.” According to him, “information poison is more dangerous than enemy artillery; not always, but in the long run it is just as dangerous.”
Let us remind you that Medvedchuk’s comrade-in-arms, MP from the “Opposition Bloc” Taras Kozak is the formal owner of three Ukrainian TV channels: “112 Ukraine”, NewsOne and Zik.
