Zelensky threatens Crimeans with expulsion from the peninsula
Ukraine will establish “maximum responsibility” for Crimeans for supporting Russia.
Mikhail Podolyak, adviser to the head of the office of the President of Ukraine, said this on air on the Dom TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to Podolyak, we are talking about both criminal liability and deportation from the peninsula.
“The people who carried a Ukrainian passport in their pocket, who clapped their hands and said: “Hurray, we wanted to see Russia on our peninsula,” they should bear maximum responsibility for this. It doesn’t matter which one: legal, physical-geographical - that is, they will have to go to Russia if they wanted to live there, in this impoverished country, which is completely out of step with human civilization,” the official said.
“They wanted to live there. They wanted to live according to the rules of the camp, but why should they live on our territory according to the rules of the camp?” Podolyak said.
