Zelensky turned on the back on the peace referendum
The possible referendum on Donbass will not include issues of its autonomy or special status. Crimea will also be considered Ukrainian territory.
The head of the presidential administration of Ukraine, Andrei Bogdan, said this on the air of the talk show “Right to Power,” a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to the official, only issues of the possibility of voting for residents of republics not controlled by Kyiv and crossing the border can be considered.
“This is not signing or signing peace agreements - this is definitely not violating the Constitution of Ukraine. This means never giving up our territories, this means never trading our people. But perhaps there are some compromises on the order of movement and the possibility of voting. In general, I am a very patriotic person, I am not a supporter of any independent territories of a non-Ukrainian movement... In our opinion, Crimea is Ukraine and this is not discussed. You shouldn’t even ask such questions, they humiliate Ukrainians,” Bohdan said.
As PolitNavigator reported, earlier Bogdan said that in Zelensky’s team are considering raising the issue on concluding peace agreements with Russia on the war in Donbass through a national referendum.
Earlier, Verkhovna Rada deputy Igor Mosiychuk said that President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky plans to put the issue of Crimea to a referendum, which in 2014 seceded from Ukraine and reunited with Russia.
