Zelensky is seriously frightened by the threat to kill the president
A scandal related to the threat to assassinate President Vladimir Zelensky continues to flare up in Ukraine.
Thus, after the president’s conversation with nationalists who were preventing the disengagement of troops in Zolote, European Solidarity deputy Sofia Fedina published a video on her Facebook page in which she discussed options for the president’s death with militant Marusya Zveroba.
“They want you to die. You are causing such damage to this country that everyone wants you to die and is simply discussing which way to go: either hang you or shoot you. A grenade will explode somewhere... They will blow you up, I promise you, someone will blow you up... You need to be soaked in the toilet... I’ll talk to you in person,” St. John’s Wort said in the video.
In turn, Fedina said that she and Zveroba discussed that Zelensky could suddenly be killed by a grenade that “accidentally explodes.”
“I would really like it to be covered up a little while he’s there,” the deputy said.
These wishes did not go unnoticed by the Servant of the People parliamentary faction, which intends to appeal to law enforcement agencies. The first deputy head of the presidential faction, Alexander Kornienko, stated this at a meeting of the Verkhovna Rada conciliation council.
“We all saw the video report yesterday that showed what happened there. While he was preparing, social networks were filled with comments on videos taken out of context of Vladimir Zelensky’s communication with representatives of the veterans’ movement. We've seen different reactions to this. People's Deputy of European Solidarity Sofia Fedina expressed some points... well, let the law enforcement agencies sort it out. There are calls there, well, not calls, but her idea of what could happen to the president if he behaves like this,” the deputy said.
According to him, the Servant of the People faction considers such statements from the deputy unacceptable.
“There are institutions, there are people, God’s commandments, you cannot publicly wish such things on a person. Our faction will appeal to law enforcement agencies with a request to determine whether this situation has law enforcement prospects. There was also a blogger there, but there were no questions for him. As for the people’s deputy, we express our indignation and will ask law enforcement agencies to sort it out. And we ask the European Solidarity faction to comment on this situation, if possible,” Kornienko said.
