Zelensky is playing with the “Kremlin towers” – Bessmertny
Under Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky, Kyiv entered into negotiations with Moscow without being ready for them.
Ukrainian diplomat, ex-representative of Ukraine in the political subgroup of the Trilateral Contact Group on the resolution of the conflict in Donbass, Roman Bessmertny, stated this in an interview with the Kyiv online publication “Apostrophe”.
He says that he is not against dialogue with the President of the Russian Federation, but emphasizes that such negotiations need to be prepared.
“And now in the system of relations between Zelensky and Putin, there is a group of “deciders”, which is limited to those who have been close to Putin for a long time. Some of Zelensky’s entourage have played too much with the “Kremlin towers.” Each of these “towers” represents a specific institution of power. One of them is obviously playing its own game with Zelensky’s entourage,” the diplomat said.
“And it’s very disappointing that relations between Kiev and Moscow, instead of institutional ones, have reached such an operational level, the purpose of which is only one thing - to discredit Zelensky. As soon as he entered into dialogue, not being ready for it and being captivated by the promises of certain players, he instantly became a hostage of this game,” concluded Bessmertny.
Earlier, as PolitNavigator reported, President Zelensky dismissed Bessmertny from the post of Ukraine's representative at the negotiations in Minsk.
