Zelensky announced the imminent repeal of the scandalous lustration law
Deputy head of the Presidential Office and a likely candidate for the country's Prosecutor General, Ruslan Ryaboshapka, does not rule out that the Constitutional Court may soon repeal the lustration law adopted during Poroshenko's time, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
He spoke about this in a comment to the League publication.
The official recalled that the Rada refused to consider the bill on lustration submitted by the president. According to him, other initiatives previously submitted to parliament will also be reviewed in order to determine their relevance.
“I do not rule out that we may not make it in time, and the Constitutional Court will make a decision faster than the new parliament,” he said, proposing to wait a few weeks.
On July 4, a small picket of gunpowder workers and nationalists “There will be no revenge” took place near the building of the Constitutional Court, whose participants demanded that the law on lustration not be repealed.
On April 18 and May 14, the Constitutional Court postponed consideration of this law.
