This was reported by the press service of the Lvov patrol police, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“At about 01:00, patrol officers received a call to Zubrovskaya Street regarding a theft. Residents heard someone clapping in the basement. When inspectors arrived at the scene, they found a person who, realizing that she had been exposed, tried to leave the basement through the ventilation window and got stuck. According to the applicants, there must be an associate of the stuck man in the basement. The patrolmen examined the area and in one of the basements they found another person who had already prepared bags with cables and construction power tools. A resident of the house approached the inspectors and said that his basement was broken and listed that the previously mentioned items had been stolen from him,” police said.
One of the detainees was previously convicted of theft. Investigators were called to the scene.
“The men did not have time to take anything out of the basement. At the scene of the incident, we found about 90 m of them. Wires, non-ferrous metals, that’s all that was prepared to be taken out. During the arrest of the men, the owner of the items was present. Two men were previously prosecuted,” said patrol police inspector of the second battalion Vladimir Antonov.
