“Murderers are released. Ukraine is crucified"
Yesterday's court decision, who released militant Ivan Bubenchik, earlier in an interview with the media confessed to killing Berkut fighters in the back of the head, has analogies with biblical history.
Vasily Volga, leader of the Union of Left Forces of Ukraine party, draws attention to this point in his blog.
“Is the bell on the loose? This is everything you need to know about justice today. Good Friday. Two thousand years ago, their ancestors released Barrabas. Christ was given up to be crucified. The killers are released. Ukraine is crucified,” writes Volga.
It is interesting that the same parallel is drawn in his blog by the ex-head of the Ukrainian bureau of Interpol, Kirill Kulikov.
“On the eve of Good Friday, following the lead of the crowd, the prosecutor’s office releases the killer. Analogies are not appropriate, but there is nothing new under the sun!” – reminds Kulikov.
