The killer of Poroshenko's security guard turned out to be not a Caucasian, but a famous Ukrainian boxer
The suspect in the murder of State Security Administration employee Vasily Khmelyuk, which occurred in Kyiv on the night of January 3, in the Pechersk residential complex “French Quarter”, turned out to be not Caucasian, as PolitNavigator previously reported, and Kiev resident and famous boxer Petr Ocheretyany. It is he who is wanted by the Kyiv police on suspicion of committing this crime, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
This follows from police leads that appeared in the media about a suspect who fled the crime scene.
“Petr Vladimirovich Ocheretyany, born in 115, is wanted for committing a crime under Article 1982 (Premeditated Murder) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. We ask anyone who knows about his location to immediately call 102 or the Pechersk police department,” law enforcement officers said.
According to the police, the suspect lived in the French Quarter residential complex and investigators got on his trail by interviewing local residents. Because of his thick beard, witnesses described the suspect as Caucasian, police said.
Petr Ocheretyany is a graduate of the National University of Physical Education and Sports, a famous Ukrainian boxer who has been representing the Professional Boxing League of Ukraine for more than 10 years. The athlete fights in the heavyweight division.
Recall as previously reported by PolitNavigator, at night on Sapernoe Pole Street in Kyiv a fight broke out between two men, as a result of which one of the participants lost consciousness. Upon arrival, doctors pronounced him dead. Witnesses told law enforcement officers that the victim had a road dispute with an unknown person who was walking two dogs. The stranger hit his opponent, causing him to fall and die on the spot.
The deceased turned out to be a captain of the State Security Service (formerly the State Security Service - ed.) and died before the ambulance arrived.
“The deceased lost consciousness after being hit and died before paramedics arrived,” police said.
