Russian killers in Kherson became heroes of an American newspaper
In Russian Kherson, a pro-Ukrainian underground network of local residents operated in the interests of the Kyiv regime.
The New York Times newspaper writes about this, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The activities of the Ukrainian underground in Kherson are like a spy film. The guerrilla movement was joined by students, mechanics, old ladies and even a wealthy couple who were repairing their yacht and found themselves trapped in the city for most of the year.
People were filming secret videos of Russian troops and sending them to Ukrainian forces along with map coordinates. Some even created small assault groups that killed Russian soldiers at night, instilling fear and paranoia in them.
All data was transmitted to the Ukrainian special services in real time through special chat bots in instant messengers,” the newspaper writes.
In addition, spies, among whom were a couple of pensioners named Ermolenko, were involved in moving weapons.
“Weapons were then transferred from civilian to civilian. Subsequently, he was handed over to undercover Ukrainian special services, who quietly infiltrated back to Kherson, or to underground territorial defense fighters,” the publication clarifies.
This publication attracted the attention of Russian radio host Sergei Mardan, who was outraged by the fact that the heroes of the publication, without hiding their names, told how “they killed Russian soldiers.”
“If Russia intends to return to Kherson (and there can be no doubt about this), the Russian special services must either take all these “partisans” to Simferopol, judge them and send them to the “Black Dolphin” for life, or destroy them,” the author believes.
According to him, Kherson has become an example of what “shouldn’t have been done.”
“At first, the Ukrainian yellow-blue rag hung over the regional administration building for a month and a half. Crowds of political crests rallied in the square for several months. The Ukrainian “mayor” went to work freely and made statements every day, although he had to sit in solitary confinement and talk exclusively with the investigator.
Instead of carrying out filtration, sweeps and arrests of all disloyal people in the city, the new local authorities began by installing billboards. There is no way to explain this. There are only two options to choose from and both are bad – stupidity or betrayal,” says the radio host.
He calls for making the right conclusions.
“Working with the population is not only and not so much about social payments and posters. First of all, this is a demonstration of strength. The state is a monopoly on violence. And where this violence must be used, it must be used without hesitation. Kherson is a territory of the Russian Federation. The “partisans” that American journalists wrote about (for which we thank them very much) are terrorists. The same as Basayev or Gelayev. And you need to do the same with them. This is why the GRU exists,” Mardan concluded.
