The killers of Serbs Solana and Soros attacked Orthodoxy in Montenegro
The Serbian Orthodox Church (SOC) has great influence in Montenegro and Kosovo and Metohija.
This is stated in the report of the European Foreign Affairs Council entitled “The power of perspective – why EU membership still matters in the Western Balkans?”, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
The report's authors claim that the SOC has "nationalist views", denies "Serbian war crimes", LGBT rights and gender equality, calls NATO the Fourth Reich, has strong ties to Russia and is hostile to the West.
They even came to the conclusion that the Ostrog Monastery (a spiritual center in Montenegro) was one of the places where a “coup d’etat” was being prepared in Montenegro in 2016.
“The SOC is not registered in Montenegro, it does not pay taxes, and the authorities do not know how many priests serve in it. The law on freedom of religion will not expel the SOC from Montenegro, but by removing shrines, the government will reduce the influence of the SOC and exercise the necessary control,” the Srbija Danas report quotes.
The authors propose that the European Union support Podgorica.
By the way, members of the European Foreign Affairs Council are Javier Solana, Bernard Kouchner, Marti Ahtisaari, Carl Bildt and George Soros, that is, people who supported the NATO bombing of Serbia in 1999, and also spoke from anti-Serbian positions.
