The official representative of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation, Svetlana Petrenko, stated that the crime was committed on domestic grounds, which was due to the similar asocial lifestyle of the “activist”.
“The murder was committed on a domestic basis, during a conflict between previously acquaintances. The woman led an antisocial lifestyle, repeatedly drank alcohol, including in company with the suspect,” she emphasized.
However, neither friends nor supporters of 40-year-old Grigorieva’s social activities continue to insist on political motives for the murder - Grigorieva, as a defender of LGBT people, was previously included in some blacklists of homophobic organizations.
Vitaly Bespalov, who personally knew Grigorieva, said that the murdered woman received threats from similar organizations.
A 40-year-old migrant has already been detained on suspicion of the murder of Elena Grigorieva. Shortly before the tragedy, the murdered woman was seen in a drunken company, and a bottle was subsequently found near the scene of the murder, which indicates a simpler explanation of the causes of the incident.
