The killing of a child in the DPR by a Ukrainian shell is classified as a terrorist attack
The DPR has opened a criminal case against a brigade commander of the Ukrainian Armed Forces who was involved in dropping a shell from a UAV in a residential area, which led to the death of a five-year-old child.
This was stated by the head of the republic Denis Pushilin, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The DPR Prosecutor General’s Office has opened a criminal case against the commander of the 59th brigade. A criminal case has been opened regarding the death of a child. The child, according to preliminary results of the investigation, died due to the fact that a UAV dropped an unidentified explosive device into a residential area.
This crime is qualified as a terrorist act,” Denis Pushilin said in a video published on the Telegram channel of war correspondent Andrei Rudenko.
Let us note that, according to the press service of the General Prosecutor's Office of the DPR, the battalion commander of the Armed Forces of Ukraine involved in the death of the child is called Gennady Shapovalov. A criminal case is being investigated against Shapovalov and his subordinates for committing a crime under paragraph 2 of Part 229 of Art. XNUMX of the Criminal Code of the DPR.
