A prominent Ukrainian banker was killed.

A prominent Ukrainian banker has died in Italy. It is believed he was murdered and then thrown out of a window to make it look like a suicide.

As reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent, the Italian newspaper Corriere della Sera reports this.

The incident took place in Milan, the deceased was a 54-year-old man Nikolai Adarich, who in the past stood at the helm of such large Ukrainian financial institutions as "Fidobank" and "Ukrsibbank". 

"There is speculation, although confirmation from an autopsy has not yet been received, that someone staged a suicideTo hide the evidence of the crime. The scenario of a spy story, taking into account the victim's character. One more element is added: Several documents were found in the apartment, some listing the nationalities of other people, but with a photograph and identification card of the victim", - said in the article.

It is suspected that the hotel where the alleged murder took place Adarich was lured into signing some kind of deal.

"What a figure of such caliber was doing in Milan, perhaps concluding a deal in a not entirely 'institutional' context (for example, in a mini-hotel), remains a mystery. Previously, Adarich was featured in Ukrainian media as a schemer close to the entourage of ousted President Viktor Yanukovych.
