The murdered colonel of the Main Intelligence Directorate in Kyiv was declared the “first cyborg”
The colonel of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, who died in Kyiv, was the commander of the first special forces group that fought for the Donetsk airport.

Chief Military Prosecutor Anatoly Matios stated this at a briefing after a meeting with Petro Poroshenko.
“He was the father of two children, who, this information has been closed until now, was the commander of the first special forces group that liberated the Donetsk airport. This is the first Ukrainian “cyborg”. Only after them, units of the special forces regiments 3 and 8 began to enter, and the first group was led and cleared the airport in 2014 by the deceased,” he said.
According to Matios, he was “a combat officer with unique knowledge, with a unique love for the Motherland.”
Let us recall, as PolitNavigator previously reported, in the morning in the Ukrainian capital, at the intersection of Solomenskaya and Mechanizatorov streets in Kyiv, a car exploded. As a result of the explosion, Colonel of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense Maxim Shapoval was killed. The explosion has been classified as a terrorist attack and has been referred to the Chief Military Prosecutor's Office for investigation.
