Precinct officers will check whether Russian TV channels are shown in schools or hospitals
Kyiv, August 19 (Navigator, Victoria Litovchenko) – In Ukraine, 14 Russian TV channels have been banned from broadcasting; they must stop broadcasting on public and private domestic cable networks.

Advisor to the Minister of Internal Affairs Anton Gerashchenko reported this on his Facebook page.
“Territorial divisions of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, down to local police officers, will have to assist the National Council on TV and PR in identifying cable operators who do not comply with the decision of the National Council to stop broadcasting on the territory of Ukraine 14 Russian TV channels prohibited in accordance with the procedure established by law,” Gerashchenko said.
According to him, those cable operators who, in violation of decisions of the courts and the National Council, are caught broadcasting banned Russian TV channels will be held accountable.
“Also, territorial divisions of the Ministry of Internal Affairs will monitor the broadcast of banned Russian TV channels on domestic cable networks in public buildings of all forms of ownership - schools, hospitals, hotels, rest homes with a demand to turn off the broadcast of such Russian channels as illegal,” Gerashchenko emphasized.
Channel One is included in the list of prohibited channels. Worldwide Network, RTR-Planeta, Russia 24, NTV-Mir, TVCI (TV Center), Russia 1, NTV, TNT, Petersburg 5, Zvezda, REN-TV, Life News, Russia Today, RBC-TV.
As Navigator reported, earlier the National Council accused Russian television channels of disseminating false information and undermining statehood.
