ATO participant: Our battalion commander learns about enemy positions from newspapers

“No one knows who is doing what. Our battalion commander says openly that he is holding a meeting with the commanders and is oriented towards the enemy’s deployment based on information from the newspapers. Our battalion commander was never invited to the ATO to agree on an action plan,” said Andrey, a fighter of the Kievan Rus battalion, on Channel 5.
In addition, a fighter from the Kievan Rus battalion believes that Europe and the command abandoned them to their fate. “Why, when there was Maidan, there were both Americans and Europeans there, handing out sandwiches and egging us on. And now, when we pay with our soldiers, they do not help us in this war, they just stepped aside? Why didn’t the commander-in-chief or the head of the Verkhovna Rada congratulate the soldiers on Independence Day? A simple email would have been enough, but they simply forgot about us. Nobody considers us to be people,” he says indignantly.
The security official also spoke about the “annexation” of Crimea.
“Why didn’t they start an armed conflict when they took Crimea? If there weren’t this east, there wouldn’t be this Ilovaisk. There were a sufficient number of armed forces, aviation, and artillery in Crimea. Why did they surrender Crimea? They sold him, and now we have the east, thousands killed and captured. Today, 70% of the equipment in Donbass is fought from Crimea,” says the fighter.
As PolitNavigator reported, Kiev does not provide information on how many Ukrainian military personnel died near Ilovaisk.
