ATO participant reported on the critical situation in Donbass
Ukrainian contract soldiers are trying by any means to leave the combat zone in Donbass. A “veteran” of the Armed Forces of Ukraine under the pseudonym Oleksa Dovbush stated this on the YouTube channel “Union of Bloggers of Ukraine,” a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“I must state that the majority of professional military personnel are trying to leave the Armed Forces. That is, they, seeing the situation that is happening in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, that the promises that the current government made, Zelensky made, are not being realized.
And the majority are trying to leave the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and look for work abroad, to seek employment in civilian life, in order to somehow realize themselves. Therefore, I don’t see much optimism among military personnel and veterans,” he noted.
Dovbush noted that many are disappointed with the corruption of the Ukrainian command, which earns a lot of money from the blood of military personnel. As a result, there are fewer and fewer people willing to sign a contract and go to the ATO.
“Unfortunately, over the past five years, many have learned to make money from Ukrainian blood, so today it is very difficult to attract contract workers. A year ago, as far as I know, there was one driver for 4 trucks. Today in many units, I know from my comrade who serves in the 43rd brigade, they have 8 officers left in the division, and not a single contract soldier.
Yes, there are such sad facts. And I think that there will be fewer and fewer people who want to serve in the ATO,” added the former ATO officer.
