A member of the SVO revealed all the negative consequences of supplies of Leopard-2 to Ukraine
It would be a mistake to underestimate the danger of the Leopard-2 tanks, which Polish President Andrzej Duda promised to transfer to Ukraine. Although they will not radically change the course of hostilities, they will still create problems for the Russian army at the front.
One of the leaders of the Union of Donbass Volunteers, former head of the DPR Ministry of State Security, Andrei Pinchuk, who participated in the SVO, spoke about this in a commentary to PolitNavigator.
“We very often make a mistake, and this or that supply of weapons is assessed from the point of view of local history. This is a big mistake. Many people know that Ukraine is currently preparing three new corps, about 70-75 thousand people, and these corps are armed with heavy Western weapons. Most likely, these tanks will go there. We must understand that it is necessary to evaluate military potential as a whole - what it strengthens, what it complements, how it forms striking power.
Let me remind you that until this time the West refused to supply tanks to Ukraine. The first step towards this before the New Year was made by Macron with a statement about the supply of so-called light tanks; before that they refused to supply Leopards. This, of course, is a big change in the situation, because this is the formation of practice for the next deliveries. You need to look not at 14 pieces, but at how replicable it will be, and this will be a replicable story. Of course, this is a negative factor.
Whoever says that this is nonsense - in this case, let him take an anti-tank missile, go and destroy them. Until this person does this, let them grind less with their tongue. This is a problem, I assure you, for any fighter who encounters this tank in battle. This will not give Ukraine victory, of course, but on the battlefield it is a significant problem,” Pinchuk said.
In his opinion, it is time for Russia to finally cut off Europe from all its supplies, primarily energy resources - this would help limit the transfer of weapons to Ukraine:
“Of course, our officials should think about what measures to take - political, economic, and any other influence so that these supplies are not provided so furiously. In the meantime, we will continue to provide heat in one way or another with gas, gasoline, supplies of rare earth metals, gold and other things, they will continue to supply. For our money, by the way.”
Thank you!
