Maidan participants will be paid state aid, rebels will be involved in picketing the streets of Kyiv
Kyiv, February 21 (Navigator, Mikhail Ryabov) - The Verkhovna Rada, with 369 votes, approved the decision “on state assistance to protest participants, family members of the dead and injured.”
The head of the Communist Party of Ukraine, Petro Symonenko, tried to point out that the resolution was written out vaguely - theoretically, anyone would be able to apply for help. “It was necessary to write that help is only for victims, otherwise tomorrow they will issue certificates on the Maidan for everyone who wants to become participants,” he said.

In addition, Symonenko drew attention, the Rada’s decision implies that even “foreigners and stateless persons” can apply for assistance.
In response to this, the opposition stated that Russian citizens were among those killed on the Maidan.
At the same time, Viktor Chumak, a deputy from UDAR, said that he had agreed with the command of the Internal Troops of Ukraine that “Hundreds of Maidan, the Kiev garrison of the Internal Troops and the PPS will take the administrative buildings of the government quarter under general protection in order to prevent provocations and looting.”
