ATO participants from Kharkov and Odessa are afraid to return home - they might “unscrew their heads”
Kyiv, January 19 (PolitNavigator, Vladimir Raichenko) - ATO volunteers originally from the south-eastern regions are afraid to return to their native places because of the negative attitude of the local population towards them.
The Kiev weekly “Correspondent” talks about this in a report dedicated to volunteer vacationers.

“In addition, many volunteers from Nikolaev, Mariupol, Kharkov and Odessa prefer to spend a short vacation not at home, but in Kyiv,” the publication writes. “They say that in their small homeland, ATO participants are not too favored and their own people can “unscrew their heads.”
“In the calm south-eastern regions, part of the population, to put it mildly, does not approve of the actions of volunteers,” Vitaly Levchenko, a native of Nikolaev and Maidan self-defense member, told the Correspondent, claiming that for this reason he is in no hurry “to leave Kyiv, which has sheltered him since the days of Maidan."
