Scientist: Near Simferopol, Ukraine cut down a garden listed in the Guinness Book of Records
During the years of Ukraine's independence, agriculture was destroyed in Crimea, the traditions of which were laid back during the times of the Russian Empire.
Crimean scientist and political scientist Sergei Kiselev stated this on the Internet channel “Crimean Echo”, the correspondent of “PolitNavigator” reports.
Kiselev recalled how in the 90s the largest garden on the peninsula was cut down for firewood.
“We have a school, not far from Simferopol. For 150 years, children have been taught fruit growing and gardening there. The Crimean garden was included in the Guinness Book of Records as the largest in the world. What's left of him? I remember in the 90s I saw only stumps, everything had been cut down. And so on. We have no number of such examples,” Kiselev said.
