The scientist debunked Poroshenko’s lies about the Great Patriotic War
During the Great Patriotic War, it was not Stalin who fought against Hitler, but the USSR against all of Europe.
This was stated at a press conference in Kyiv by a world-famous Ukrainian scientist, director of the Institute of Archeology of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, academician Petr Tolochko.

“This was not Stalin’s war with Hitler or, as our patriots say, “Soviet-German", the academician is convinced. – It was a war between the Soviet Union and the entire, if you like, enlightened Europe. We often say that this is a war with Germany, but in fact the entire economic potential of Europe was involved in the war against the USSR. In their Belgium and France, they went to restaurants, girls of the first world profession worked calmly, served everyone, but we fought.”
The scientist recalled that more than six million Ukrainians died during the Great Patriotic War, and in Ukraine there is virtually no family that did not pay with death for victory.
“How can you humiliate and level her today? – Pyotr Tolochko laments. – Take these attempts to move from May 9 to May 8. I don’t know what they will celebrate on May 8th. Yes, and you don’t need to do this. This is such a small thing to prick with something, to humiliate. Ukraine was the winner of the Great Patriotic War. Ukraine, as the winner, became the organizing country of the UN. But if you renounce all this, then you renounce those great events with which Ukraine is connected as a country, as a people.”
