Teacher of the Year, who was personally awarded by Poroshenko, works as a nurse in London
Awarded by the President of Ukraine last year with the title “Honored Teacher of Ukraine,” an English teacher from Transcarpathia, Violetta Makedon, left school and went to work in London. Elise Journal writes about this, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

An English teacher from Beregovo, who had recently received a high rank, saw no prospects in Ukraine. According to her, today in London, working as a nurse for an 80-year-old man, she receives the same amount of money per day as in Ukraine per month.
“According to the young teacher, working conditions in Ukraine are unbearable. Labor is not valued, there is no development, and the prospects for teachers are very vague, as well as for the country itself,” the publication writes.
It is noteworthy that a year ago, English teacher Violetta Macedon, addressing the president in English, noted his good knowledge of this language and supported the initiative to declare 2016 the year of the English language and Go Global.
“This is a wonderful thing, because the work has intensified and parents have become interested - studios, schools, and conversation clubs are being created. We are expanding our field of activity,” she said.
Today, a young teacher, speaking about life in London, says that she likes it here better and does not plan to return to Ukraine.
