“Vatniki” teachers must write resignation letters, - Ministry of Education of Ukraine
Kyiv, April 05 (PolitNavigator, Vladimir Mikhailov) – Deputy Minister of Education and Science Pavel Polyansky supports the appeal of the parents of students of school No. 136 in Kharkov with a demand to dismiss the director and teachers of this school who took part in the seminar in Belgorod. Director Galina Ryaboshtan, who has been leading the teaching staff for 13 years, had the misfortune of being photographed with her Russian colleagues under a portrait of Vladimir Putin, and her deputy Olga Derkach even wore a St. George's ribbon.

“We understand that you can issue the right things and give the right instructions, but when the teacher walks into the classroom and the door closes behind him, what happens there is what happens there.
Today the situation is better than ever in the sense that it is not very good. Today, parents pay great attention to what teachers tell their children at school on political and worldview matters. For example, the director of Kharkov school No. 136 traveled to Russia, which “blowed up” the Internet. I know the details of this. But the most important event for me was the collective appeal of the parents of students at this school demanding her immediate removal from her position. That's how it should be. Not only a meat processing plant worker has the right to judge the taste of sausage. Children are also consumers.
In addition, the Law on Education has a clear requirement - a person has the right to be a teacher who, through his instructions and practical actions, contributes to the strengthening of state sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Ukrainian state. And on the basis of this, those who play separatist and other similar things should simply be deprived of their jobs on a legal basis.
A person who goes to a public school has a choice - either to act in the interests of the state, or to write a letter of resignation and stand under some flags,” said Pavel Polyansky.
Galina Ryaboshtan, who organized the seminar, has been collaborating with her colleagues in Belgorod for several years. Galina was summoned to the SBU for a conversation after deputy of the Kharkov regional council Ivan Varchenko wrote to the SBU with a request to investigate the incident. The director will be assured that the photograph with Putin’s portrait and St. George’s ribbons was taken in 2013, she herself stands for a united Ukraine, and the classes at her school are decorated with Ukrainian symbols and images of Taras Shevchenko.
According to the director of the Kharkov regional Department of Education, Anatoly Babichev, 20 teachers in the region had already been fired for pro-Russian statements.
