“A blow is inevitable” – in Kyiv they are whipping up hysteria around the exercises of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus
Joint Russian-Belarusian military exercises will be aimed at supporting the image before the parliamentary elections in Russia and raising morale in the Donbass, and this can also be seen directly as preparation for the invasion of Ukraine by Belarus.
The ex-ambassador of Ukraine to the United States, Valery Chaly, said this on the air of the Direct TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“On the eve of the elections to the State Duma of the Russian Federation, we need to show our muscles, show that Russia is strong. And, secondly, it is necessary to support the mood of the mercenaries, because if they are not fed with money and weapons, and they, for their part, must show that they are doing this work - killing, then this business for Russia will create the same result as today . Secondly, there is a problem that such exacerbations can occur on the eve of preparation for more serious operations.
Now we need to be very careful, because we have elections to the State Duma, and exercises with Belarusians, and this means a new concentration of Russian troops at our borders. Even now the decision is made by the Belarusian illegitimate Alexander Lukashenko, but he still de facto makes these decisions to amend the Constitution in order to remove neutrality from Belarus,” the ex-ambassador said.
According to him, Belarusians are lifting their neutrality in order to allow the creation of Russian military bases on their territory.
“And the whole complex of these issues shows us one thing, that the arguments will still be in the sphere of attack with weapons, and with conventional weapons - tanks, missiles, and Ukraine needs to do only one thing - strengthen the army, air force and navy,” Chaly argues.
