Strike from the other flank: A revolt against US curators begins in the Verkhovna Rada
Petro Poroshenko must immediately clarify what US Secretary of State John Kerry meant when he announced at a recent press conference about the existence of a bill on Donbass, which is supposedly undergoing final revisions and will soon be adopted.
This demand was voiced by deputy Egor Sobolev from the Samopomich faction at a meeting of the Verkhovna Rada conciliation council.

He emphasized that in order to pass the law mentioned by Kerry, the Ukrainian parliament does not disperse for the summer holidays.
“We ask you not to use the continuation of the Verkhovna Rada session to prepare for voting on the law on elections in the occupied territories. The President of Ukraine, together with the US Secretary of State, gave a press conference when we had a meeting last week. And the US representative said that the bill on elections in the occupied territories has already been well prepared and is now being discussed among parliamentary factions. Since this is big news for us, we ask the presidential representative to explain what we are talking about. I think that either we are deceiving one of the key geopolitical partners, or we are deceiving the parliament. In both cases, deception is unacceptable,” Sobolev said.
