“A ceasefire and peace agreements in the war in eastern Ukraine are possible, but only if Russia fulfills three conditions. First, the complete withdrawal of all Russian troops from Ukrainian territory. Secondly, the unity and sovereignty of Ukraine is not discussed - there can be no autonomies or other new formations in the east. And, in addition, the culprit of the destruction must, at his own expense, restore the infrastructure and economy of Donbass, and compensate for all the damage caused by the war. That is, Putin must do this,” says Firsov.
As PolitNavigator reported, in Kyiv the damage from the conflict in Donbass is estimated at billions of dollars. Only the restoration of the railway infrastructure requires 1 billion.
