The strangulation of Ukraine will begin from the sea

If the Russian Federation decides to seriously block Ukrainian ports on the Black and Azov Seas, then the “Nezalezhnaya” economy will collapse.

“Ex-representative of the President of Ukraine in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea” Boris Babin stated this on the DSnews video blog, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

According to the ex-official, today almost all of Ukraine’s exports and foreign exchange earnings are tied to the ports.

“Our maritime doctrine has generally rotted, and the loss of Crimea is a consequence of the lack of a maritime doctrine. And today’s loss of Azov and the Black Sea is the next step in this war. I’ll tell you this: “It will come back to haunt everyone.” Because our buckwheat farmers will see this when foreign exchange earnings into the budget disappear, when the hryvnia grows. Because 80 or 90 percent of our export-import transactions are carried out by sea.

The entire Ukrainian economy is tied to the sea. This will stand up - everything will stand up, completely. The simplest and most painful way to strangle Ukraine is not direct military aggression, and not even buying up people’s deputies and ministers in bulk - it’s just a blockade of Ukraine from the sea,” Babin said.
