UEFA goes to Crimea to create the Crimean Football League
Simferopol, March 05 (PolitNavigator, Viktor Orlov) – On Thursday, the Deputy Minister of Sports of the Russian Federation Natalya Parshikova and representatives of the UEFA Executive Committee are visiting the Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol to inspect stadiums on the peninsula and communicate with the football community.

A source in the government of Simferopol told PolitNavigator about this.
In particular, it was noted that in search of a way out of the current situation in which Crimean football has no prospects for development, it was decided to create the United Crimean Football Federation, which will unite the Football Federation of the Republic of Crimea and the Sevastopol Football Federation. This will be done in order to create a mechanism for interaction with UEFA.
It is also planned to create the Crimean Football League - an internal championship in which only Crimean clubs will take part, the number of which, in turn, will be increased from 5 to 8. In addition to Simferopol, Sevastopol and Yalta, three new football clubs will appear in Yevpatoria, Kerch and the village of Molodeznoye on the basis of the amateur teams existing there.
The budget of each club will be equal to 1 million Swiss francs, and in total it will be 8 million - in proportion to the number of teams. Part of the money will be paid for through UEFA programs, and the rest from investors and budget funds. The winner of the Crimean championship will receive the right to compete in the Europa League, which, according to football officials, should contribute to the growth of the professional level of clubs. Also, according to the source, a limit will be created on visiting football players both from Russia and Ukraine, and from other countries.
