UEFA has banned Russian football events in Crimea
Kyiv, December 04 (PolitNavigator, Mikhail Ryabov) – The UEFA Executive Committee made a decision in favor of Ukraine and banned Russia from holding football competitions in Crimea, as well as the participation of Crimean football clubs in the Russian championships.

This was announced by Verkhovna Rada deputy Igor Zhdanov.
“I just spoke with Grigory Surkis after the end of the UEFA executive committee. A decision was made in favor of Ukraine; in short, its essence is as follows:
1. Any Crimean football clubs cannot take part in competitions under the auspices of the Russian Football Union.
2. The Russian Football Union cannot organize any football competitions on the territory of Crimea without the consent of the Football Federation of Ukraine,” Zhdanov said on Facebook.
