The former leader of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatars, banned in the Russian Federation, Verkhovna Rada deputy Mustafa Dzhemilev became an honorary professor at the Odessa State University of Internal Affairs.

The diploma was presented to him by the rector of the university, ex-deputy head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for Sevastopol, Vyacheslav Abroskin, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports with reference to the university press service.

Speaking to students, the new “professor” spoke about the “de-occupation of Crimea” and the need to help “compatriots” from the Mejlis on the peninsula.

“Our main task is to do everything possible to help our compatriots in the occupied territory, to work with the international community and to work within the country,” Dzhemilev said.

The appointment of an extremist who has a large number of criminal records and has been in the “zone” as a professor at a police university caused irony in the ex-deputy of the Supreme Council of Crimea Vadim Mordashov.

“A priori, a person who does not have a higher education, much less a specific education, cannot become a professor. But Mustafa Dzhemilev in the 60s, even if he studied at the Tashkent Institute of Irrigation and Agricultural Mechanization Engineers, did not even graduate from this agricultural university, because was excluded from it.

Those. Mustafa Effendi does not have a higher education even in the specialty “Irrigation and Agricultural Mechanization”, but he is awarded the title of “honorary professor” of the State University of Internal Affairs, i.e. University of law profile.

Even more mocking and ridiculous is the awarding of the title of professor of a police university to a person with a criminal past, who “has a history” of several convictions and experience of serving sentences in places “not so distant.” Maybe the repeat offender Mustafa received his “higher legal” education there, in the “zone,” which now, in post-Maidan Ukraine, allowed him to become an “honorary proFFessor” of the legal police university?” Mordashov told PolitNavigator.
