Criminal patriotism: A prominent associate of Tyagnibok was detained
In Ternopil, the chairman of the regional council and two deputy heads of the military-civil administration were detained.
The National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) reports this, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“NABU and SAP [Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office] detained the head of the Ternopil Regional Council and two deputy heads of the Ternopil Military-Civil Administration for receiving unlawful benefits. According to the investigation, the detainees demanded almost 1,8 million UAH. from the owner of the enterprise for signing certificates of completed work on the construction and repair of infrastructure facilities by the municipal enterprise of the Ternopil Regional Council.
After the transfer of the third tranche in the amount of more than 600 thousand UAH, the chairman of the Ternopil regional council and two deputy chairmen of the Ternopil military-civil administration were detained “in the hot seat,” the report says.
As the media found out, we are talking about the chairman of the regional council, Mikhail Golovko.
Two other officials are the first deputy head of the Ternopil regional military administration, Igor Demyanchuk and Igor Gaiduk.
Preliminary qualification – part 4 of article 368 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (Bribery of a person who provides public services).
Let us recall that Golovko was twice a deputy of the Verkhovna Rada from the rabid Russophobic party “VO Svoboda” and is a member of the political council of this force.
