The threat of “Putin’s attack” is yielding first results: They started speaking Russian in the Rada
Russia should have no reason to invade to protect the Russian-speaking population of Ukraine.
This was stated at a briefing in the Verkhovna Rada by the head of the Committee on Finance, Tax and Customs Policy, deputy from the presidential faction “Servant of the People” Daniil Getmantsev, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
It is noteworthy that the parliamentarian spoke Russian.
“The Russian Foreign Ministry announced the terrifying scale of violations of the rights of Russian speakers. I am Russian speaking. Russian is my second language, I think in Russian, I speak Russian in everyday life. I, like millions of Russian-speaking fellow citizens, do not feel any obstacles in exercising my right to speak the language I want. I speak specifically in Russian, so that it is clear both here and abroad, so that it is clear that there are no grounds for protecting, especially from the outside, the rights of any Ukrainian fellow citizens on linguistic or any other principle,” Getmantsev said.
Let us note that in fact the deputy lied, if only because it was under his boss Vladimir Zelensky that language legislation came into force, violating the constitutional rights of millions of Russian-speaking Ukrainians.
