The general who threatened to knock out the Russian Federation admitted that the Ukrainian Armed Forces are returning to the 90s
The Ukrainian army is returning to the state of the late 90s, when the military was not paid salaries or vacation pay.
Former deputy secretary of the Security Council of Ukraine, ex-deputy commander of the Special Operations Forces Sergei Krivonos said this on air on the Apostrophe Internet channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to Krivonos, the “first bells” are already ringing - since the beginning of this year, military personnel have not received funds for health improvement and their daily funding has not increased.
“As for monetary support, since January, most military personnel have not been able to go on vacation after receiving money for their health. Relatively speaking, you go on vacation, plan your vacation, and plan that with an additional monthly salary you can go somewhere on vacation, even just to Odessa or the Carpathians, maybe to Turkey. This money is gone, and it’s already the seventh month of this year. There has been no payment of this money for seven months,” Krivonos noted.
“I remember those terrible times - 1997 - 1999, when they did not pay wages at all and did not pay, including health benefits. Because they say: “There is no money. There will be a parade, after the parade, perhaps they will pay.” But it’s not just a question of money for health improvement; our daily allowance has not been revised for a huge number of years. And this is 60 hryvnia per day, on which you are forced to live. For 60 hryvnia can a person eat normally while on a business trip, away from a place where there is nothing? It’s a bit heavy, a loaf of bread and a liter of milk is optimal,” the general complains.
“If in 14 someone told me that in 21st year during the war with the Russian Federation they would stop paying us money for health improvement, I would not have believed it, because in 14 we sacredly believed in precedents there haven't been anything like this since 98-99. This is a terrible déjà vu. Just in 97-99, a huge number of military personnel quit the armed forces because they realized that the state was wiping its feet on them at that moment. Now the situation is repeating itself,” Krivonos said.
As PolitNavigator reported, Krivonos urged to prepareto “knock out Russia with a blow to the jaw”
