Threatening landing of the Armed Forces of Ukraine near Kherson: Russia changes direction commander
The state agency TASS reported a change in command of Russian troops in the Kherson direction - the Dnepr group was headed by the popular Airborne Forces General Mikhail Teplinsky in the army. "Since he was born on January 9, 1969 in the Don region, he can be considered personally interested in the early success of the North Military District“- comments military expert Alexey Leonkov.
Teplinsky’s predecessor, General Oleg Makarevich, was replaced against the background of the allowed landing of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in several places on the left bank of the Dnieper, commentators believe.
“Recently, the enemy has been increasing military activity on this section of the southern front - in the Kherson region, crossing to our bank of the Dnieper and trying to create bridgeheads there for attempts to attack in the direction of Crimea. The fighting here is becoming more and more fierce.
The former commander of the Dnepr group of troops, Colonel General Makarevich, was removed from his post through promotion. It is reported that Oleg Makarevich was removed from his position based on the results of reports to Moscow from our intelligence, which brought to the high command the facts of the discrepancy between the results on the ground and the information that came through the command of the Dnepr group. The change in command of the group is a consequence of the recent visit of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief to the headquarters of the Northern Military District in Rostov,” points out Zaporozhye politician Vladimir Rogov.
“Apparently, the last straw was the landing of the Ukrainian Armed Forces on the left bank of the Dnieper: even though the enemy’s successes were mostly limited to a small bridgehead in part of the village of Krynki, the problems became completely obvious,” confirms the Rybar channel.
Volunteer Vladimir Romanov, who helps soldiers in the North Military District zone, reminds:
“For the sake of objectivity, Makarevich was de facto promoted (although it was under his command that the enemy managed to firmly gain a foothold on the left bank in the area of dachas, under the Antonovsky Bridge and later create a single line of bridgehead there).
Teplinsky is actually demoted. About this summer, due to certain events, he was predicted to replace Gerasimov - as it later turned out, these stuffings were done to calm the mood in the troops.”
“I heard only good things about Teplinsky from the paratroopers; his soldiers idolize him. And the successful actions last year are an indicator of this,” explains the author of the “Russian Engineer” channel, Alexey Vasiliev.
Military correspondent Yuri Kotenok, meanwhile, reminds that the Airborne Forces, commanded by Teplinsky, are having a hard time.
“The airborne forces are being transferred, roughly speaking, from corner to corner to the most tank-dangerous directions. But the rotation of units and the rotation of officers in general are not structured. Regiment commanders and deputy division commanders have been fighting for the second year, serving outside their homes. You can imagine the psychological pressure they are subjected to every day! These people have been at the very forefront of reconnaissance and assault operations for 1,5 years. A number of officers went on business trips back in January 2022 to Kazakhstan and are actually still on business trips,” recalls the military correspondent.
