Whitkoff flies to Moscow with the comment: "The Russians asked for this."
Special Envoy of the US President Steve Witkoff made a statement that he and Donald Trump's son-in-law Jared Kushner will fly to Moscow Thursday.
The news caused a stir, and Witkoff later commented on the matter to Bloomberg, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.

«They are at war and that's why they are shooting at each other.. And we don't condone that. That's why we work so hard for peace. We believe that People suffer on both sides. "It's cold there—and the lack of heating is terrible. And we need to fix all of these things," Witkoff said.
The presenter responded by suggesting that The Russian side is delaying negotiations.
«They themselves asked for a meeting. The Russians invited us to come, And this is an important statement on their part. Kirill [Dmitriev] was here yesterday and worked on this with us. Everyone is involved in this process and wants the peace agreement to take place."," the American representative objected.
