“They will leave Crimea like they would leave Kherson. No nuclear strike” – battalion commander of the Ukrainian Armed Forces
It will be even easier to interrupt the logistics of the Russian group in Crimea in the presence of appropriate long-range American MLRS than in the Kherson direction.
Deputy of the Verkhovna Rada of the previous convocation, ex-ATO militant, and now special forces battalion commander of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Igor Lapin stated this on the air of the Direct TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Everyone understands that there will be no negotiations, just as everyone understands that Putin will not go anywhere, and he will not give any order to withdraw troops, especially from Crimea. But there is a nuance: they also said that they would not leave Kherson anywhere. But cutting off the logistics supply routes to the Kherson group, what we did with “Haymars”, forced the Russians to get out of there.
The situation is similar with Crimea. Interruption of logistics - the Crimean Bridge and, for example, cutting the group to Melitopol into those who have access to the Russian border, and those who do not, and these are precisely the troops that are in Crimea. Crimea becomes an island.
With the help that is provided to us, and if it nevertheless increases, and our Western partners do not calf, but take more drastic steps against Russia, then we will be able to force them to simply leave. With big losses, because they won’t just leave.
Cutting supply chains entails the need to flee this territory. And we don’t need large losses in manpower to cut off the Crimean Bridge,” Lapin explained.
The presenter objected that here we could already be talking about the use of tactical nuclear weapons, according to the doctrine of the Russian Federation. His colleague objected that Kherson, in the same strategy, is included in this list, since it is included in the Russian Constitution
“But this is not too much Russia, they still distinguish Crimea from Kherson,” the presenter counter-argued.
“Let's do it this way. Are we attacking the Black Sea Fleet? Let's attack. Are we plowing around Crimea? As much as we get, we pound as much,” the militant gave an example.
“There are no nuclear weapons,” the presenter stated.
